Who doesn’t like sticky, gooey, colorful slime? I know my boys love it! I hate spending $1-2 on it though! Here is a way to make it at home for way less $ using only 4 ingredients.
First dissolve 1 teaspoon of Borax in 1 cup of water. Set aside.
In a medium mixing bowl empty a 4 ounce bottle of Elmer’s Glue. You can use the clear or white glue.
Add 4 ounces of water to the glue.
Add food coloring at this point if you would like. Cayden decided to use blue.
Stir water and glue together until well blended.
Now the fun part! Add the Borax/water and watch as slime begins to form! Just keep stirring the mixture. Use your hands…or better yet have the kids stir!
I noticed there seemed to be a lot of excess water in the bowl. I gave a handful of slime to each boy then used the rest of the slime to absorb the water.
The final product!
